Vote on your favorite children’s book concept
Richard Scarry vibes or Brave Little Toaster energy?
I’m less than a month away from writing a children’s book in 30 days! I’ve narrowed it down to 3 concept ideas. I wanted to get a pulse check to see which is your favorite before I begin.
I truly value your opinion and have made major decisions around your input. When I was picking the color for the cover my coloring book, I sent out a poll to you and went with the winner! I respond to every email I get here, so always feel free to reply and say hi 👋
Here are the concepts:
The Electric Home
Imagine Richard Scarry meets an electrified home. A story told from the perspective of a home going through a clean energy transition. Its old appliances would start to fail and the owners will slowly bring in new technology (heat pump, solar panels, induction stoves). The home will be the main character and it will tell the story of it adjusting to this big life change. Think the Giving Tree but with clean energy.
The Sheep & The Solar Panel
This is an expansion from a comic I’ve done about agrivoltaics. It would be about the journey of sheep on an electrified farm. I’m not super clear on the plot yet.
Adventures of Electrified Appliances
A deep cut for my millennial friends…but imagine Brave Little Toaster but with clean energy appliances. Or for other generations, Toy Story-esque but instead of toys coming alive it’s induction stoves and heat pumps. Picture the adventures of Holly the Heat Pump, Iris the Induction Stove, Sally the Solar Panel, Evan the EV, etc.
I’m open to other ideas too! Would love any feedback before I hone in on one of these.
