Save our compost 🥕
I 💚 Compost.
Hearing that Mayor Adams is eliminating NYC community composting programs and GrowNYC funding is devastating.
These organizations divert more than 8 million pounds of organic waste from landfills each year.
Cutting community composting and outreach programs will result in the loss of over 115 green jobs.

My way of speaking up
I’m starting a new series called “What I Compost in a Week” to share the importance of composting!
This painting is from a friend’s compost last week!
If you want a chance for me to turn your compost into art:
1. Tag me in a photo of your compost on Twitter @NicoleKelner or @MindfulNicole on Instagram (or email me)
2. Use the phrase “What I Compost in a Week”
3. Share the link to the GrowNYC petition: www.grownyc.org/petition
Ways to support me:
Buy my coloring book! I can’t believe it but it’s ~holiday season~. Word on the street is they make very cute gifts.
Buy yourself something from my shop- my book, a mug, a onesie, a print. These take about 2-3 weeks to arrive so you may want to order sooner rather than later.
I’m open for commissions. I help climate organizations simplify their messaging into pretty art. I just finished a painting for the Department of Energy!
I host climate art workshops! I’m doing a bunch for holiday parties this year and can customize them for your group/team.
Ok my climate cuties I hope you are staying cozy as we enter the holiday season! If you need some ideas for a climate-friendly gift, my crowdsourced guide has over 230+ resources on it now!
