Creativity circles for climate folks?

Hi friends,

Happy Friday! I had quite a busy week and am excited to share the client work I’ve been creating! You’ll see it in the next few weeks for Earth month. Just a reminder that if you want custom art or to collaborate for Earth Day, my cutoff for accepting new projects will be next Friday, March 24th.

I made this fun piece about U.S. power grids which I’ve been wanting to paint for a while now. If you have other map ideas, send me a picture and maybe I could make them happen! I’ve got a whole system down to make them now.

Other update: I have an idea to start some sort of Creativity Circle for folks working in climate. My vision would be to facilitate a 8 week program for people who want to make space for creativity in their life or level up their creative pursuits . This could mean art, writing, poetry, photography, design, or whatever creativity means to you. If this is something that sounds like you would want to be a part of, shoot me a note so I can get a pulse check on interest!

On to the section of reflection!

Things I’m grateful for:

  • Being interviewed by Robert, a 10 year old climate activist, on his YouTube channel! Watch it here. My most fun interview request yet 😅

  • My meditation practice. I’ve meditated every day for at least 10 mins since the new year (76 day streak).

  • Swimming with my dad! I love coming home and swimming together.

Things I’m looking forward to

  • Finding a balance with my time in NY.  I lightly burned myself out the last 2 weeks on activities. I’m low-key thinking about moving to Williamsburg when my lease is up in September (or sooner?). It would be nice to be closer to my friends and not amongst the Manhattan frenzy. Soo…Brooklyn friends keep your ears peeled for me!

  • My next climate art workshop with My Climate Journey. This month to celebrate the High Seas treaty, we’ll be focusing on ocean based solutions! Register here.

Things I’m stressed about

  • This week was a lot of work but I love it all! I have such amazing clients doing meaningful work in the climate space. Long-term I’m just thinking of how to manage my energy as an individual artist.

Ways to support me:

  • 📗 Buy my book! It’s a great coffee table book for yourself, your office, or your nerdy climate friend.

  • 👩🏼‍🎨 Become a paid subscriber here to become a true ✨~patron✨~ of the arts.

  • 🤝Earth day is coming up fast and I think that’s gonna be a busy time for me. So feel free to shoot me a DM if you have ideas for collaborating.

  • 🎨You know anyone who wants a virtual or in person climate art workshop. I do them for team building, conferences, fun, etc.

  • 📱 Forward this to a friend or share on socials.

That’s all for now!

I’d be very interested in the creativity circles as well! I’m always looking for ways to work through climate anxiety and expand my creativity at the same time.

Definitely interested in Creativity circles for climate folks. Considering sustainability comms is all about envisioning while building sharing and showing the world that doesn't yet exist, or on the verge. We’re constantly trying to show the world we want, that’s coming, as we have to show what it could look like, how it could feel. Would love getting together with creatives focused on this kind of Artivism
